Welcome to Arbrook Candles – A Little Light from Claygate

Living and working in Claygate is truly a pleasure. It's a beautiful village with a real sense of community. It's charming, warm, and full of character. That same feeling of home is exactly what I wanted to capture in my candles.

The idea for Arbrook Candles was born during long walks through Arbrook Woods with my two black Labradors, Barkley and Bella. The peace of the trees, the earthy scent of the forest floor, and the rhythm of the seasons all inspired me to create something that would bring that feeling indoors.

It felt only right to name my brand after the place that sparked it all.  When it came to naming my first collection of fragrances, I looked no further than the streets around Claygate. That’s how scents like Albany, Copsem, Milbrook, and Ruxley came to life. Each one is a little tribute to this corner of Surrey I call home.

As Arbrook Candles has grown, I’ve added more fragrances to the collection—Meadow, Woodstock, and Foley Wood—each one inspired by the local landscape.  The only exception is our Christmas scent, Christmas Wish—a warm, nostalgic blend that captures the magic of the festive season.

Choosing to use soy wax was an easy decision for me. It’s a natural, renewable alternative to paraffin wax, and it burns cleaner, making it better not just for the environment, but also for our health. I wanted Arbrook Candles to be something people could enjoy every day—without worrying about what they’re breathing in.

Arbrook Candles is more than just a business, it's a reflection of where I live, who I love, and the beauty I find in the simple, quiet moments.
